I will be continuing to edit this thread to add new mods as I find and try them out. Mods added more than a week after the original post will be indicated like this.

Important programs:

• Mod Manager and DAModder for installing DAZips
• ModWrangler - For Mac. Thanks /u/diskarte!

Game Play and Environment:

• Improved Atmosphere - Thanks /u/cirion5! Important Note: Imrpoved Atmosphere can sometimes cause missing thumbnails. The fix for that can be found here. Thanks to /u/Ganrao for pointing this out.
• Dragon Age Redesigned – Adds a lot of environmental changes, and updates some of the weirder faces in the game, as well as makes small changes to more accurately reflect events and dialogue. Several variants available.
• Character Respecialization - Adds a raven to most areas with free respec potions.
• Lock Bash - Bash through locks on chests and doors you can't pick.
• No Helmet Hack - Hide helmets for your party.
• Beyond Ferelden Chest - A storage chest for your party camp.
• Sleeping Tent – A tent for your Warden in camp. Note: This appears to spawn in the same location as the chest, which render one or both unusable. I would pick and choose between this mod and the Beyond Ferelden Chest.
• Skip the Fade - Gives you all the same stat points, etc. All you have to do is run through the companion and final cutscenes/fights.
• Forced Deathblows - Because deathblows are awesome. Can also be used to turn off deathblows almost completely.
• Auto-Loot - Screw the dialogue box.
• Awakening in the OC - Adds the essential features of Awakening to the base game. I would not recommend this for beginners. It's very easy to mess up your game and likely has a slough of comparability issues.
• Sleep Until Dawn - Lets your Warden go to bed (including some interaction with your love interest), and creates a Dawn state for camp.
• Beat the Hell out of Howe - For all your Human Noble vengeance needs.

Game Fixes (There are many, but these are the ones I use):

• Dialogue Tweaks - Fixes some dialogue options that are slightly not contextually appropriate and adds in responses that should really be in the game, fixes some references.
• Two Spec Sten - Because he somehow only gets one Specialization point.
• MADD Gift Guide - Adds a notation of the intended companion for preferred gifts. Be warned: it spoils the identity of the Mystery Companion if you've never finished the game before.
• Make Console Commands Visible - Some mods and game bug fixes require you to type things into the console, but the console is naturally invisible, which causes some problems. This will let you see the console text. Make sure you also grab the linked fonts.erf file.
  For the best results when printing halftone dots, use retensionable frames and low-elongation mesh. Emulsion A lot has been written about the ease of capillary direct film that is simply applied to the screen, but give me the same 100 printers doing halftone printing and 99 of them will only be using direct emulsion. What the best emulsion for halftones? I have 305 mesh screen and im looking for the good emulson you guys love for halftones. Emulsion for Halftones - T-Shirt Forums. Best emulsion for halftones for screen.
• Advanced Tactics - Fixes and deepens the tactics system.
• Combat Tweaks - Smooths out skills and makes them balanced. Makes some of the more terrible skills actually useful.
• White Teeth - Because some of the teeth textures are really distracting.
• Symmetrical Massive Armor - This mod was actually made by our very own /u/svk151! Lets you pick one shoulder style and one glove style for the Massive armor.
• Effects Handler - Includes quite a few handy tweaks and removes effects out of combat.

Extended Gameplay:

• Baldur's Gate II Redux - Irenicus' Dungeon from Baldur's Gate II. Huge, amazing mod.
• Alley of Murders - 'Experience the dangerous underbelly of Denerim's streets by investigating a series of murders that will see you battle thieves, murderers, darkspawn and more.'
• Dark Times - Act I - 'A search for a cure to the eventual death sentence that comes as a result of the Joining leads the Grey Warden to the Confederacy of Malkuth, a loose collection of city states which exists south of Ferelden, beyond the Uncharted Territories.' NOTE: This is a torrent file, you will need a program to open it, such as uTorrent. Look for the required file under the 'Files' tab, labeled Torrent Dark Times Act One v1_07.rar
• Quests and Legends (Thanks /u/Shabutaro!) - HUGE game extension, and apparently extremely well done, including full voice acting.

Create A Character Enhancement:

• Vibrant Colors - Adds a ton more colors for hairstyles and eyes, as well as a bright white tattoo color that kinda glows.
• Tucked Hair - Most vanilla hairstyles, now tucked behind the ears.
• LOTC Hairstyle Collection - You can see some images under 'discussions.'

Armor:

• The Phoenix Armory for Females - Has some game-breaking stats and are available extremely early on, but it has three levels of stats (including a very limited set available at Ostagar). And, they're lovely. Females only.
• Dusk Mage Robes - Again, game-breaking stats, though there is a version with milder stats, they're still pretty over powered.
• Ivory Tower and Nightfall Bloom - For your Arcane Warrior.
• Underworld Armory - Adds some more armors to the game, armor models originally from an Oblivion mod.
• Wings of Velvet Mage Robes - Thanks /u/cirion5!
• HSLI Sexy Mage Robes (NSFW) - These are not lore friendly, but some people really like these, and they are very well animated.
• HSLI Sexy Outfits (Semi-NSFW) - More lore friendly (but not by much).
• HSLI Revenant Armor - Allows you to wear Revenant Armor. Semi-NSFW version available.
• HSLI Darkspawn Armor - Allows you to wear Darkspawn armor. SFW.

Companion and NPC Appearance Tweaks (there are MANY but these are my favorites):

• Sacred Ashes Companions - Updates Morrigan, Leliana, and/or Sten to more closely resemble their appearance in the Sacred Ashes trailer.
• Morrigan Sacred Ashes Robes - Replaces Morrigan's armor with her kickass trailer armor. Especially useful if you're not a fan of her vanilla, cleavage-heavy robes, but want to keep her looking unique.
• DA2 Flemeth and Isabela in DA:O - If you are bothered by the huge redesign they did on these characters but prefer the DA2 models, or just want some consistency.
• Armor of the Devout - New armor specific to Leliana available at the site of Andraste's Ashes, with an extra, similar set for Zevran or your rogue PC.
• Armor of the Sten - Special armor for Sten, found in Lothering.
• Tranquil Tattoos - Replicates the forehead tattoos present on Tranquil mages in DAII.
• DA2 Style Qunari in DA:O - Works on Sten, too.
• Grey Wardens of Ferelden - Replaces the armor of every Grey Warden in the game with a class appropriate version of the Grey Warden armor from DA2, and spawns a class-appropriate set in your inventory upon joining the Wardens. It even changes the armor of every warden in the Soldier's Peak DLC. Extremely well done, but as far as I can tell, all the armor is low level. There are also weapons in this mod.

New Companion:

• Ser Gilmore NPC - Someone went through and completely fleshed out Ser Gilmore from the Human Noble origin to make him a companion. It's not voiced by the same actor for the rest of the game, but the sheer effort required is amazing.
• Ser Gilmore for Awakening is also available. With continuity.
• Karmas Origins Companions - Lets you recruit pretty much anyone, ever.

Dog:

• Extra Dog Slot - Adds your dog as a permanent, summonable companion, much like in DA2. Makes the game a bit easier.
• Dog Gifts Tweak - Dog's approval is pretty much stuck at +100, making gifts useless. This mod makes each gift add stats instead.
• Mabari Recolors - Make your best friend fashion forward.
• Extended Dog Talents - When you reach a high enough level, you run out of talents for Dog. Now you won't.

Romance Expansions (Note: by romance I don't mean the sex cut scenes, I mean more meaningful interactions and extended story points):

• Extended Zevran Romance - Lots of small extended scenes.
• Extended Alistair Romance - More small scenes, including a special scene for each origin. Very sweet.
• More visible Alistair kiss - Because seriously.. his armor is huge.
• Cullen Romance Option - A very well done mod, if you wanted to follow up on hitting on Cullen as a mage. Adds a scene when you first see him, when you leave, and during Broken Circle.
• Free Love - Allows females to romance Morrigan, though be warned: she will refer to your character with male pronouns, and she will still proposition you for the dark ritual, allowing you to lesbian conceive. Also allows for males to romance Alistair, but again, he will refer to you with female pronouns. This affects party banter, too.
• Polygamey - Allows you to romance anyone and everyone (this is all four available romances, if you use the previous mod). No jealousy. Allows the threesome/foursome with Isabela, even if companions aren't hardened.
• Alistair's Nightmare - This is a companion mod for Sleep Until Dawn, and requires that mod for this to work. Adds an extremely well done cutscene to the game, triggered after certain conditions are met.

• Milder Romance Scenes - Yes, these make the sex scenes less explicit.
• Many flavors of extended/kinkier sex scenes - Fairly well animated, if you're into that.
• Rendezvous at the Tavern - Again this is a lot kinkier. Adds a rather remarkable number of new, fully animated and dialogued sex scenes available at The Pearl.

Cheat Codes

Right-click on the file that is used to launch the game. Click on 'Properties', and then add the '-enabledeveloperconsole' command line to end of the 'Target' field. Ageless: In Orzammar before you pick a new king, click the king's throne, set three of your party members on pressure plates around the area, and use the fourth to click the throne again. Kill the dragon to get the Ageless legendary weapon.
Keening Blade: Successfully complete the 'Unbound' quest. To start it, collect the journals from the following locations:
1. Adventurer's corpse in Ruined Temple on the 'Urn Of Sacred Ashes' quest in the southwest corridor.
2. Brecilian Ruins' Lower Ruins in the south fire trap room.
3. Talk to an adventurer in Orzammar's Tapster's tavern.
4. Go to Denerim, then go to the dirty back alley, and fight the demon.
Marjorlaneses Recurve: Successfully complete Leliana's character quest.
Staff Of The Magister Lords: Purchased it in the Wonders Of Thedas in Denerim.
Starfang Longsword: Get the random encounter with the crater, then take the Starmetal to Wardens Keep to have a one or two handed sword made.
Summersword: Defeat Loghain's general when trying to save the queen.
The Rose's Thorn: Purchased it in a shop in Orzammar.
Topsiders Honor: In Deep Roads, find the three pieces, then reassemble them in Ortan Thaig.

Legendary armor

Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding legendary armor:

Blood Dragon: Use the DLC to get the first piece, and the rest will be in Bodhan's shop in your camp.
Juggernaut: Examine the three tombstones in the Brecilian Forrest to get the first three pieces. Successfully complete the 'Jug' quest in the Ruins to get the final piece.
Legion Set: Pieces are spread throughout the Deeproads.
Reapers Vestment (best robe): Purchased it at the Wonders Of Thedas.
Robes Of Possession: Successfully complete Morrigan's character quest by killing Flemmeth. They can then be found in the chest in Flemeth's hut.
Wade's: Wade of Wade's Emporium in Denerim will make you three sets of armor, two of which will use 3x Drake Scales, and the other will need the Dragon Scale. The first two sets are leather armor, and the third is your choice of medium, heavy, or massive. You can get lots of Drake Scales and the Dragon Scale during the 'Urn Of Sacred Ashes' quest. Note: Make sure you always pay the extra gold when asked to get the best results.

Specialization classes

Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding Specialization class. Note: Specialization points are obtained at levels 7 and 14.

Mage

Arcane Warrior: During the 'Nature Of The Beast' quest line, you will find a place in Brecilian Ruins where a spirit is trapped inside something. Set the spirit free, then ask it to teach you the specialization.
Blood Mage: During the 'Arl Of Redcliffe' quest line, choose to go into the Fade. Instead of killing the Desire Demon, negotiate with her. When given a reward, choose to learn Blood Magic.
Shapeshifter: Learned from Morrigan (companion) when approval is high enough; or Varathorn (Dalish Camp).
Spirit Healer: Learned from Wynne (companion); or manual from Wanders Of Thedas in Denerim (after Landsmeet starts).

Rogue

Assassin: Learned from Zevran (companion) when approval is high enough; or bought from Alarith's Store (Denerim, after Landsmeet starts).

Champion: Choose to accept the reward from Arl Eamon after completing the 'Sacred Urn Of Ashes' quest line.
Reaver: Meet with Kolgrim in the Wyrmling Lair just before the mountain top, and help him with his task. Pour dragon's blood on the ashes. Note: If Wynne and Leliana are in your party, they will join the Guardian in their fight against you.

Easy experience

Note: This trick only works in the unpatched version of the game. In Ostargar, do the 'Tainted Blood' mission that is unlocked immediately before you become a Grey Warden. Collect the three Vials of Darkspawn Blood, but not the Grey Warden Treaties. Return to camp, talk to Duncan, and report 'We have the blood, but not the scrolls.' You will exit out of the conversation, but still get the experience for the mission. You can repeat this as many times as desired. It does not take long to reach the level 25 cap if you skip the conversations to speed up the process.

Note: This trick requires you have the Trap Making ability. In Lothering, go to the right after exiting Dane's Refuge (near the center of Lothering). There will be a quest giver by the name of Allison. She will ask you to make traps, and requires three traps to complete the quest. Once you complete the quest, you will get a moderate amount of experience and 50 silver. You can repeat this quest as many times as desired; however, the quest will become unavailable as you progress through the game. To keep repeating the quest, go back to Dane's Refuge, and buy Trap Triggers. He has an unlimited supply of them. As long as you have Trap Making, create Spring Traps. Spring Traps only cost approximately 3 silver to create, and she requires three traps each time. Thus, it only costs you roughly 9 silver for the quest.

To get extra experience points early in the game, go to the city of Denerim as soon as you leave Lothering. Then, enter the 'Wonders of Thedas' building, and purchase the Archivist's Belt. While it is equipped, you will get an experience point boost for everything in your Codex. Books will increase from 50 to 75 experience points.

Unlocking specializations for all classes

Note: The Character Respec Addon V1.6 must be installed for this trick to work. In almost every town or village in Ferelden, you can find a raven (small black bird). Talk to the raven to get a free Specialization Respec potion. Talk to him again, and select 'Look into his eyes'. Then, select your class to unlock 2/4 of each character specializations for free. Note: You must switch between each character to unlock their individual specializations. You cannot do all of them at once.

Free Specialization books

Save the game, then buy a Specialization book from a vendor. The message 'Specialization Unlocked' will appear. Then, load your saved game, and you will have the gold back that you spent for the book, but the specialization will still be unlocked.

When you first arrive at your party camp, you will see Bodahn Fennick, the Dwarf trader. Speak to him, and view his wares. You will find two Specialization books, Ranger and Templar. Save the game, then buy one to unlock that Specialization. Reload your game, and buy the other one. You will now have both specialties unlocked and still retain your gold after reloading your game again. This works with all Specialization books.

Redistributing attribute points

Note: The following trick works with Patch 1.01a. At the attribute screen while leveling up, add points to the attribute you want to actually take attribute points away from. Then, press [Reset], and take the desired number of attribute points from the attribute you just added points to and redistribute them to a new attribute. For example, if your character has 18 STR and 18 DEX when you level up, and you want to take 3 DEX away and add it to STR, add 3 level up attribute points to DEX to bring it to 21. Press [Reset] to bring DEX back down to 18. Then, press the left arrow by DEX three times to bring it down to 15, and reassign all points to STR. If you want to reassign more than 3 points at a time, add 3 points to an attribute, press [Reset], add 3 more points to the same attribute, and repeat. When you press the left arrow by the attribute, you will be able to subtract the total number of points you added.

Extra storage

In Lothering, go towards a bridge on the edge of town. There will be a bridge where a Dwarven father and son are getting attacked. If you save and are nice to them, they will be in your party's camp when you arrive shortly afterwards. They are merchants, and the son is an enchanting savant. The father has good items to start. Buy the items, using the 'Easy gold' glitch if needed. He never seems to lose what you sell him. You can basically use him as free storage. This works well for players without the 'Warden's Keep' downloadable content's bottomless chest, or if you do not want to keep traveling to Soldier's Peak to retrieve your excess inventory.

Extra backpack in Ostagar

When you arrive in Ostagar, buy the Backpack from the Quartermaster. Note: You should have enough money all long as you collected sell-able items and gear during the beginning storyline. Successfully complete the quest where you and the other recruits enter the Wilds; make sure you explore the entire map. Successfully complete the 'Joining' ritual, and become a Grey Warden. Before attending the meeting with Duncan and the King, go back to the Quartermaster, and there should be another Backpack available to purchase at the same price as before.

Summoning wolf and bear simultaneously

Rouges that have the Ranger talent and all skills can summon a wolf and a bear at the same time. This trick does not work with the spider. When you are summoning the wolf and your cast time bar is almost over, click to summon the bear. Your character will summon the wolf first, and then summon the bear. You can control both animals.

Armed Mages

It is possible for Mages to not just cast magic but also use armor and weapons. Once you have acquired the Arcane Warrior style, you can use armor and weapons in exchange for magic. You do not have to worry about taking physical damage any longer because of the armor. You do not have to keep your distance from enemies and can use all the spells desired. Note: This ability is obtained in the 'Nature Of The Beast' quest with the Dalish Elves. You must go into the temple and find a vial that seems odd. A short cutscene will begin and will involve you. After a long series of questioning, it will offer to pass on its talents of an Arcane Warrior to you and your party in exchange for its freedom.

Gifts help raise each party member's liking of the 'Warden' or main character you create. The following is a list of the gifts each party member likes and will help to get on their good side instead of their wrathful side:

Mass Effect reference

There is a book titled 'Load Limit Reached' that you can find in the Orzammar underground section 'The Dead Trenches', near the 'Legionnaire Shrine' at the end of a broken bridge. The first line in the book is 'Mass will have an effect'. It mentions a Dwarf named Shepard, which is the same name as the main character of Mass Effect.

Monty Python And The Search for the Holy Grail reference

While traveling on the world map, you may encounter a group of people around a stump, claiming that if you pull it out, you are destined to become king of Thedas. This will prompt banter between them. 'Pulling a drunken loggers axe out of stump is hardly something to base a system of government off of.'; 'He must be a king.'; 'Why do you say that?'; 'Because he doesn't have dung all over him.' This is a reference from the beginning of Monty Python And The Search For The Holy Grail.

Portal reference

Note: You must have Sten in your party for this trick to work. At the end of the game, if you choose to perform the ritual with Morrigan, you will go to the crowning of the new king or queen. After the dialogue with Alistair, you can walk around and talk to your companions. Find Sten, and he will say 'Where is the cake? They promised there would be cake. The cake is a lie..'

Superman reference

The following event is random and occurs while traveling on the world map. You will encounter a farmer and his wife who find a baby in a meteor crash, right after it happens. They decide to take the baby and raise it as their own. You get the Meteor Ore the baby came in. It can be made into armor by Wade in Denerim. A good way to get this event to occur is from one of the Chantry Board missions in Redcliffe. Travel straight from Redcliffe to Refugees.

Easy 'Silver Tongued' achievement

In Orzammar, there is a man named Vartag in the Chamber of Assembly. Speak with him about earning Lord Behlen's trust. He should give you papers that state Lord Harrowmont sold the same piece of land to two people. After he gives you the papers, go to the Shaperate in the Diamond Quarter. It is at the opposite end of the entrance to the Commons. Once you are in the Shaperate, talk to the Shaperate, and give him the papers. He will tell you they are forged. Then, go back to Vartag, and tell him the papers are forged. After you have done this, a Persuade line will appear. Keep persuading him until you get the 'Silver Tongued' achievement. Note: It helps if you have a high Coercion and/or Cunning skill. Also, if you made a Dwarf Commoner, your sister will take you directly to Vartag once you have entered the Diamond Quarter.

Thought I'd post the appearance of all three up in case anyone is interested.

The Dalish Warrior armor looks wierd imo, kinda wish there was an Ancient Elven armor in the game similar to the one from Origins.

EDIT: I think I got the Scout from the Hissing Wastes vendor, Keeper from a dragon in Emprise du Lion. Warrior is from the Dalish quest where you go into a tomb near the Dalish camp (poke all the graves to get a key) not sure if it's random.

EDIT2: Looks like the Warrior armor is random, reloaded a save before I did Unadin Grotto and it didn't drop this time. Lame.

Obviously, this post contains spoilers for Morrigan. Don’t read it if you don’t want in depth information on the character.

Note: I had an opportunity to play on the PS3 recently. The approval rates vary slightly from the PC. This is for the PC version, but it should get you close on console, as well. The unique gifts (Flemeth’s Grimoire and True Grimoire) seemed to boost approval much more on the console than they do on the PC. Be sure to check the link at the bottom if you need a list of her Gifts to help you along.

Morrigan is a complex character. She’s more mercenary, and you get on her bad side by helping people. Yet, she reacts positively when the Warden agrees with her and pays her compliments. In play, get on her good side by being mercenary yourself, so the “Boy Scout” Warden is likely to have some trouble with her Approval rates. She’s only interested in men, and if she gets too close to him, she will break the relationship if you’re not very careful. There’s some tips on places to leave her at Camp if you want to be sure not to annoy her (yet do some of the quests.) Even if you’re basically playing an evil guy, there’s points to be gained by killing monsters. You may not want to skip certain quests for practical reasons of building your character.

Be open and receptive in your views of the things she does, but don’t side with the Chantry. As an Apostate mage, Morrigan has a distaste for the Chantry. Because she values freedom, there are a few exceptions to her not liking when you help people. She’ll grant +7 for releasing Jowan and telling him to run, and also encourages you to release Sten. (Although I don’t think there’s an approval bonus for that one.) She’s into flings, not love, although she’ll come to more or less care for the Warden toward the end of the game. Not all of my responses may be perfect because I didn’t go through and break them down individually, but this is a relatively fast way of getting on with the romance / sex / friendship with Morrigan.

If you’re playing on the PC, I highly recommend the Morrigan Restoration Patch Dialog Fixpack for the full experience of playing with this character. It’s completely compatible with the Witch Hunt DLC.

Note: There’s a bug with her request to teach shapeshifting which will be fixed with the Mod. If you don’t use the mod, her Approval to teach shapeshifting is reversed. Approach her at neutral and she’ll teach it in the vanilla game because of a scripting error. If using the Mod she’ll teach it once she gets to know the Warden better and her Approval goes up some.

Mods For Dragon Age Origins

The initial meeting in the Wilds when you get the Treaties won’t have an effect on her approval, so go through that however you like.

After the Tower of Ishal, Flemeth will tell you that Morrigan is going with you.

+4 Approval – Tell her you want her to speak her mind when the option comes up.

+6 Approval – Once you’ve done Lothering, approach her in Camp and talk to her. Ask her about her shapeshifting.
– Your mother has been doing this for a long time, then?
– Can you change to human forms as well?
– Do you spend a lot of time as an animal?
– What do the animals think of you when you’re changed?
– I’ve never heard of magic like that before.
– That’s good. Traditions like that should be preserved.
(You can ask her if others can learn shapeshifting here, too. Once you say that’s all you want to ask, she’ll ask the Warden their opinion of her powers.)
– I think your abilities sound useful.

+8 Approval – Ask her if she grew up in the Korcari Wilds
– You can probe me any time.
– And you remained unnoticed?
– Very daring. That sounds like you.
– That was quick thinking.
– Touching? Like a handshake?
– Well I’m glad it worked out this way, at least.

+6 Approval – Ask her if she’s ever been hunted by the Chantry.
– And you’re cute when you’re evasive.

+5 Approval – Ask her if Flemeth is what she appears to be.

– I can’t imagine Flemeth was pleased.

– They made you stronger, didn’t they?

+4 Approval – Kiss her and ask “Do you object?”

Morrigan should now invite him to her tent. If she’s still a bit below the mark, you can give her the Tribal Necklace found in the Tower of Ishal, the silver bracelet (from the same place) or one of the Gifts you can buy from the dwarf merchant in camp.

+11 Approval – (Male only) Accept her invitation to have sex – oh come on, like you worked through all of this to tell her “no?” (LOL)
– Oh, there are stories?
– So what now?
– I can live with that.

When going to Redcliff, leave Morrigan at camp to avoid a lot of negative approval unless you plan on going to see Teagan and telling him you’re leaving and it isn’t your problem. Morrigan will give you +4 Approval for that, but you lose out on a lot of the side quests and points which you’ll earn by killing the monsters by helping them. If you want to do those quests, then it’s best to leave her at the Camp, talk to Teagan, Murdock, Perth, the Smith, Kaitlyn, etc. then you can put her back into the party for the action.

She will give you approval for siding with Branka, killing the Dalish in favor of the werewolves, and allowing Caladrius (the slaver from the Alieanage) to kill the elf slaves to boost your Warden’s health via Blood Magic. She will also disapprove of letting Wynne join the party while inside the Circle tower and sparing Zevran. It’s possible you may be able to get out of Negative approval with good dialog choices, but I don’t think I ever have.

Once she asks you to go after Flemeth on her personal quest, then agree. Telling her “no” is one of her Crisis Points and she’ll leave your party until the end of the game.

Once you have the True Grimoire be very careful if you want to stay in a relationship with her. Without just the right dialog choices she will give you -23 Approval, -15 Approval and even break off the relationship. Morrigan is into flings, and although she might come to care, she doesn’t believe in love – or so she says.

Use the following dialog to avoid negative approval with her and keep her approval bar at “love” status.

She’ll open a conversation with him when you speak to her at camp after the True Grimoire has been given to her and if her approval is high enough. She’ll say she wants his opinion.

No change to approval or relationship status

– My opinion?
– Are you saying you love me?
– Love is not a weakness.
– You are worth my distraction.

If using the Morrigan Mod, she might catch the Warden in a lie about the true Grimoire. If she does, she will also leave the group.

She will also get jealous if Leliana or Zevran are interested in your Warden and their approval grows too high. She will demand that you chose her or the other, but that the Warden cannot have both. If you kiss Kaitlyn as a reward, the bar maid in Redcliff, or try and join Isabella (the Duelist in the Pearl) on her ship while Morrigan is in the party and involved she’ll give you negative approval or (in the case of Isabella) balk you from doing anything. She will also give you some negative approval for helping the young Dalish couple get together and I believe for telling the elf who lost his wife to the curse that she sent her love to him before she died.

The Age of Mods

Dragon Age Origins is an outstanding game. But when you’ve beat it, it doesn’t have to be over. One of Bioware’s goals with Dragon Age Origins was to create a game which could be easily modified using a powerful toolset provided by Bioware. The mod community has become quick to start projects. These projects cover a variety of topics, from changing the rules of combat to changing the way NPCs work. There are many available, and a surprisingly large number of them are good. The three listed here, however, are my the ones I suggest trying first.

Innodils Pocket Plane

The party camp in Dragon Age is pretty useful, but there are many ways it could be better. There is limited inventory space, for one. The lack of variety in the provided store is also limiting, particularly if you’re into crafting. And then there is just getting to the camp – at times, it can be hassle.

No more. The Innodils Pocket Plane mod puts an item in the inventory of the main character which instantly teleports him or her to their own magical camp with a huge number of features. There is nearly unlimited storage available, a merchant who has unlimited numbers of every crafting item in the game, and an area where you can change your party while in the plane. There are even some customization options.

Annoyingly, the Innodils Pocket Plane mod is a little unbalanced. There is a Tomb of Secrets which can unlock any specialization, and some versions of the mod give access to unbalanced weapons. If you can restrain yourself from abuse, however, the Pocket Plane is an essential download.

Combat Tweaks

Combat in Dragon Age is extremely engaging and a hell of a lot of fun, but it isn’t perfect. So in comes the Dragon Age Combat Tweaks mod, ready to try and set things right and make the combat that much closer to perfection. Like the Advanced Tactics mod, the Combat Tweaks mod is a must-have do to some minor but important changes it makes to Dragon Age.

The changes in Combat Tweaks help make combat more intuitive by clearing up a few gray areas in how combat works. For example, feedback about special melee attacks is strangely absent in the stock game. If you hit an enemy with Shield Bash and it does nothing, you don’t know why. Combat Tweaks changes this by showing that the attack was blocked or resisted. Also, the effects of things like runes and poisons don’t seem to work with some attacks in the stock game, and Combat Tweaks changes this.

This is really only the tip of the iceberg, however. There are a lot of little changes made, and for the most part they are for the better. Most of the potentially unbalancing content is optional, as well, so Combat Tweaks probably won’t make the game feel too easy.

Advanced Tactics

The tactics which are available in Dragon Age: Origins aren’t for everyone, but they can be extremely handy for those who don’t want to look over absolutely every single detail of combat. However, the tactics don’t go far enough for some people. There are certain conditional effects which would be handy but aren’t in the standard game, and some AI behaviors which don’t make sense.
